The Revelation That Changed Everything

This is the post that marks the beginning.

Not just of a blog, but of a bold new chapter in my life.

For years, I served faithfully as a school administrator. I poured into children, coached teachers, partnered with families, and led with purpose. But in the quiet corners of my spirit, I could sense a shift coming. Something was ending, and I didn’t yet know what was beginning.

Then one Sunday, everything changed.

My pastor preached from 1 Samuel 16:1, where God tells the prophet Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him? Fill your flask with oil, and go…” That word hit deep. I, too, had been mourning; mourning a career that no longer fit the vision God was revealing for my life. But through that message, I heard Him clearly: Stop mourning. Fill your flask. Go.

Later that day, I went for a walk. It was just me, God, and the grief of letting go. And that’s when He spoke again; this time with a creative revelation that would become the foundation of something entirely new: “Black holds the spectrum. What you’ve mourned is over. Now walk by faith.”

I went home and began to study what the spectrum truly was, and what it meant spiritually. I realized that Blackness isn’t the absence of color; it’s the container of all color. The beauty, complexity, and fullness of our identity as a people was never something to defend; it was something to declare.

That was the seed of Threaded Truth.

The first design came quickly: the word Black illustrated using the color spectrum. A visual metaphor for our fullness, our heritage, and our power. I shared the idea with my sister-in-love, and her affirmation was confirmation. Still, I couldn’t fully grasp what God had just birthed in me.

But I chose to trust Him anyway.

The Word says in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please.”

That is the promise I’m walking in.

And so this is my first post. The beginning of the story behind the brand. The moment the oil met the thread. The day obedience gave birth to vision.
